  2. Cadet Program, for juvenile pre-trial diversion and well-being.
  3. Misdemeanor Probation for the 14th Judicial District.


PROFESSIONAL HISTORY


1979 - Joined the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office

1983 - Promoted to Chief of the Felony Division for CPDAO

1990 - Promoted to First Assistant District Attorney by DA Richard Ieyoub.

1991 - Elected District Attorney of Calcasieu Parish, unopposed, and re-elected twice, also unopposed.

2005 - Elected Judge of the 14th Judicial District.

2009 - Returned to the District Attorney's Office under DA John DeRosier as a Special Felony Prosecutor.

2018 - Resigned from the District Attorney's Office to pursue full-time private practice with the Bryant & Sigler LLC firm.

2007 - Helped found and coordinated the 14th Judicial District Adult Drug Court Treatment Program

2010 - Helped found and coordinated the 14th Judicial District Court Treatment Court Program

2013 - Successfully argued Boyer v. Louisiana before the United States Supreme Court

2017 - Helped found and coordinated the 14th Judicial District Veterans Treatment Court Program

2017-2018 - Appointed Special Prosecutor in Rapides and Jefferson Davis Parishes

2018 - Resigned as Assistant District Attorney to pursue full-time private practice with the Bryant & Sigler LLC law firm.
